Computer Science is taught under the Faculty of Sciences at Federal University, Lokoja (FULOKOJA). Mathematics and Physics are the named subjects, and the third UTME slot reaches well beyond the laboratory sciences.
Economics and Geography both appear in that slot, and the NCE route accepts a social science subject outright. The department is noticeably more open than its O’Level line first suggests.
Confirm that Computer Science appears on the current FULOKOJA course list and that your JAMB registration records it correctly before you sit the examination. A course entered in error cannot be assessed against these conditions.

The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Computer Science is Five (5) SSCE credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and two other science subjects.

Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Computer Science at FULOKOJA include Mathematics, Physics and any in Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics, or Geography.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Computer Science if you do not intend to use UTME.
You require two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in science subjects, including Mathematics. Direct Entry Candidates can apply with an NCE merit in Mathematics and one other Science or Social Science subject.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FULOKOJA for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Social Science Subjects Have a Place at FULOKOJA Computer Science
The O’Level requirement is five SSCE credits in English Language, Mathematics and Physics, plus two other science subjects. Three papers are named and the remaining two must stay within the sciences.
The UTME combination opens that up. English Language is compulsory, Mathematics and Physics are fixed, and the third paper may be Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics or Geography.
Economics and Geography in that list is the first sign of flexibility. Neither would satisfy the O’Level condition, but both are accepted at UTME.
Direct Entry asks for two ‘A’ Level or NCE passes in science subjects including Mathematics. An NCE at merit in Mathematics with one other science or social science subject is also accepted.
A JAMB score of 180 and above is the screening threshold for the 2026/2027 session at FULOKOJA and applies regardless of the route taken.
