Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Quantity Surveying if you do not intend to use UTME.

You require two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Mathematics or Physics and Chemistry, Geography, or Fine Arts.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUTA for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.

Four Fixed Credits Before the FUTA Quantity Surveying Options

The O’level requirement here is split into two parts for a reason. English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics are fixed, and only the fifth credit is chosen from the long list that follows.

That list is unusually generous, covering Fine Art, Geography, Technical Drawing and Biology alongside trade subjects such as bricklaying, concreting, joinery, ceramics and basic electricity.

At UTME the shape changes. Physics and Mathematics are fixed beside English Language, and the fourth paper comes from Chemistry, Geography, Art, Biology or Economics, so Chemistry becomes optional at JAMB even though it is compulsory at O’level.

Direct Entry asks for two A’level or NCE passes, one from Mathematics or Physics and the other from Chemistry, Geography or Fine Arts. UTME candidates need a minimum of 180 and above in JAMB for the 2026/2027 session.
