This article is designed to help students who wish to study Architecture under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology at Kaduna State University.
It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in KASU to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.
The Kaduna State University was established under the Kaduna State Law Number 3 promulgated on 21st May 2004. The promulgation resulted from the obvious and felt need to boost higher education in the State and the country in general.
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Architecture;
You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any of Fine Art, Geography or Wood Work, Biology, Economics, Technical Drawing, Further. Mathematics., Introduction to Building Construction, Bricklaying/Block laying, Concreting, Wall, Floors, and Ceiling Finishing, Joinery, Carpentary, Decorative Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall Hanging, Colour Mixing/Matching and Glazing, Ceramics, Graphics Design, Graphic Printing, Basic Electricity.

Jamb Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Architecture under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology in the above Universities include;
Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, Art, Biology, and Economics.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Architecture if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes chosen from Mathematics or Physics and Chemistry, Geography or Fine Arts.
- ND/HND upper credits in relevant field.
Jamb Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into KASU for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum score of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
