Science at O’Level, Business at Direct Entry for MAUTECH Accounting Technology
The three routes pull in different directions. O’level asks for Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Economics and any science subject, which is a science leaning list for an accounting programme.
UTME keeps Mathematics and Economics fixed and lets the fourth paper be Chemistry, Physics or Biology, so a science subject is still required there.
Direct Entry then drops the sciences entirely, accepting Economics, Accountancy, Business Management, Government and Geography.
Economics is the only subject common to all three, which makes it the first credit to secure.
Candidates entering through UTME need a minimum of 180 and above in their JAMB result for the 2026/2027 session.
