WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Agricultural and Environmental Engineering is Five (5) SSCE credits in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and any science subject.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Agricultural and Environmental Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology at MAUTECH include;
Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agricultural and Environmental Engineering if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into MAUTECH for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Nothing Agricultural in the MAUTECH Agricultural and Environmental Engineering Entry Lists
Despite the course title, no agricultural subject is named anywhere on this page. The requirements rest entirely on Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
Those three appear among the five O’level credits, as the three UTME papers beside English Language, and again as the Direct Entry subjects.
The only latitude is the fifth O’level credit, which can be any science subject, so Agricultural Science or Biology could be used there.
Candidates from an agricultural secondary school background should therefore plan around the engineering sciences rather than their teaching subject.
Those entering through UTME need a minimum of 180 and above in their JAMB result for the 2026/2027 session.
