This article is designed to help students who wish to study Biochemistry under the Faculty of Sciences at Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola.

It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in Mautech to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

About Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola

Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola, is a research-intensive university located in Girei a town in Adamawa State in Northeastern Nigeria.

It was established in 1981 by the government of Nigeria to create Universities that specialise in producing graduates with practical and theoretical knowledge of Technology.

Admission Requirements for Biochemistry

WAEC/NECO Subject Combination

The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Biochemistry is Five (5) SSCE credits in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

JAMB Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.

Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Biochemistry under the Faculty of Sciences at MAUTECH include;

Chemistry, Biology, and one other subject chosen from Mathematics or Physics.

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Biochemistry if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require;

Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and Physics.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into MAUTECH for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
