Business Management at Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola is housed under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology, which is an unusual home for a management programme. This page sets out exactly what Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola asks of applicants.
The course can be entered two ways. UTME candidates are judged on five SSCE credits and a JAMB score, while Direct Entry candidates are assessed on two advanced passes. The requirements differ enough that choosing the wrong route can cost you a session.
Before you sit JAMB, confirm that Business Management is still listed among the courses MAUTECH runs and that you have selected it correctly on your registration. A course chosen in error cannot be matched against the requirements set out below.

What MAUTECH Asks of a Business Management Candidate
The O’Level side of this course is fixed. Five credits are required, and three of them are named for you: Mathematics, English Language and Economics. Only the remaining slots are open, and they must be filled from the science or social science range.
The JAMB score threshold of 180 is a screening gate, not a selection standard. It decides who is allowed to be considered. Candidates competing for the same places are usually well clear of that figure.
Direct Entry avoids UTME entirely but narrows the subject field. Two ‘A’ Level or NCE passes are needed, and they must come from Economics, Accountancy, Business Management, Government or Geography. A science advanced level will not substitute here.
