As published, this line treats Physics as one of two options rather than as a fixed subject, which sits oddly with a Physics degree. It is reproduced here exactly as the department wrote it.

Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Physics if you do not intend to use UTME.

JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into SSU for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Two A Level Passes From Four Sciences Open Direct Entry at SSU Physics
Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology are the four subjects the department draws on, and two passes from that group are enough for Direct Entry at A Level or NCE.
UTME candidates should work from the O’Level list, which names all five credits including Physics, and treat the 180 score as the floor for SSU screening.
