The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Crop Production and Horticulture is Five (5) SSCE credits in Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.

The O’Level requirement is the strictest part of this application. All five credits are named: Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Nothing is left to choice at that stage.
The UTME combination then relaxes. English Language is compulsory, Biology and Chemistry are fixed, and the third subject may be either Mathematics or Physics depending on which suits the candidate better.
