The One Flexible Slot in MAUTECH Computer Science
At O’Level the course asks for five SSCE credits in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and any science subject. Four papers are named outright, and only the fifth is left to the candidate.
The UTME combination is where the small concession appears. English Language is compulsory, Mathematics and Physics are fixed, and the third subject may be either Chemistry or Biology.
Direct Entry closes that gap again. Two ‘A’ Level or NCE passes are required in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, with no Biology alternative offered at this level.
A JAMB score of 180 is the screening threshold for the 2026/2027 session. It decides eligibility rather than selection, and Computer Science is among the courses at MAUTECH where applicants typically sit above the floor.
