This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) Yola, that the Department of Education/Mechanical Technology admission requirements have been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Education/Mechanical Technology include the Five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics and one (1) subject from below:
- Biology /Agricultural Science
- Physics, or Chemistry, and two (2) more subjects from below;
- General Science/Integrated Science
- Technical Drawing/Fine Art
- Geography
- Health Science Food and Nutrition
- Physical and Health Education
- Auto Technical
- Building, Electrical Electronic
- Metal Work and Wood Work
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics and any other subject
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Education/Mechanical Technology if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and any one (1) in Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Economics, or Geography.
- ND credit in Statistics or Mathematics.

JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into MAUTECH for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum of 160 or above score in your JAMB result.
