The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Vocational Education include one of the following lists:
- Five SSCE credits to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, and Geography/Physics
- TC Grade II in Home Economics
- Five SSCE credits in English, Mathematics, Home Economics, and any two of Management, Biology, Chemistry, and Clothing and Textiles
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Economics plus one subject from below:
- Literature in English
- History
- Government
- Geography/Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry

Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Vocational Education if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
Agricultural Technology Education
- NCE in Agricultural Science Education (DM)
- with credit
- ND with minimum Upper credit in Agricultural Science
- HND with Lower Credit in relevant areas of
- Agricultural Science
Home Economics
- NCE in Home Economics at Merit level
- National Diploma in Home Economics at a lower credit level
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into MAUTECH for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum of 160 or above score in your JAMB result.
