Admission Requirements for Industrial Chemistry
WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Industrial Chemistry is Five (5) SSCE credits in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Industrial Chemistry under the Faculty of Sciences at MAUTECH include;
Chemistry, Mathematics, and one other subject chosen from Biology or Physics.
Direct Entry Requirement
You need to fulfill these conditions to gain Direct Entry admission to study Industrial Chemistry if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Chemistry and Mathematics.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into MAUTECH for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Chemistry and Mathematics Decide MAUTECH Industrial Chemistry
Two subjects run through every stage here. Chemistry and Mathematics are required among the five O’level credits, fixed at UTME, and named as the two A’level or NCE passes at Direct Entry.
The only choice on the page is the third UTME paper, which can be Biology or Physics.
Both of those are already required at O’level, along with English Language, so that choice affects your JAMB registration rather than your result sheet.
Candidates entering through UTME need a minimum of 180 and above in their JAMB result for the 2026/2027 session, the figure that applies across the university.
