This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) Yola that the Department of Technical Education admission requirements has been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

The Federal University of Technology, now known as the Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) Yola, is a research-intensive university in Girei, a town in Adamawa State in Northeastern Nigeria.
It is one of the 27 federal government university systems and one of only 4 federal technology universities established to advance science-based research.
The Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) Yola is accredited by the National Universities Commission. The university offers associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Operations Research include the Five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in the following subjects:
English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and one (1) other subject.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
MAUTECH requires Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and any three of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science, Geography, Economics/Commerce, Computer Studies/IT/ Data processing.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Technical Education if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- NCE merit in two (2) relevant Science subjects plus the UTME requirements.
- Two ‘A’ Level passes in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
