Agricultural Education is taught under the Faculty of Education at Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK). The Direct Entry section lists three separate routes, which is more than most departments here publish.
Two of those three are NCE routes, so college of education graduates are explicitly catered for. The UTME route is unusually open as well, offering a pool of seven subjects.
Confirm that Agricultural Education appears on the current NSUK course list and that your JAMB registration records it correctly before you sit the examination. A course entered in error cannot be assessed against these conditions.

WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Agricultural Education is Five (5) ‘O’ Level credits or equivalent in English Language, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Mathematics and another relevant subject.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Agricultural Education at NSUK are any three subjects from Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Physics, Economics, Geography and Mathematics.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agricultural Education if you do not intend to use UTME.
You require
- Two passes at ‘A’ level in Biology /Zoology /Botany and any other Science subject.
- NCE merit pass level in Agriculture (Double Major).
- NCE at merit pass level in Biology and any other Science subject.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into NSUK for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Three Direct Entry Routes Into NSUK Agricultural Education
The O’Level requirement is five credits or equivalent in English Language, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Mathematics and another relevant subject. Four papers are effectively named and the fifth is open.
The UTME side is the most flexible part of the page. English Language is compulsory, and the three accompanying subjects may be any from Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Physics, Economics, Geography and Mathematics.
Economics and Geography sitting in that pool means a candidate without a full laboratory science background can still assemble a valid combination.
Direct Entry offers three options: two advanced level passes in Biology, Zoology or Botany with another science; an NCE at merit in Agriculture as a double major; or an NCE at merit in Biology with another science.
A JAMB score of 180 and above is the screening threshold for the 2026/2027 session at NSUK and applies whichever of these routes a candidate uses.
