Mathematics is taught under the Faculty of Sciences at Federal University, Lokoja (FULOKOJA). The O’Level line names only three subjects, which makes it one of the shorter science requirements here.
Economics and Geography appear in the UTME pool, and Economics again at Direct Entry. A candidate without a full laboratory science background still has a workable route into this department.
Confirm that Mathematics appears on the current FULOKOJA course list and that your JAMB registration records it correctly before you sit the examination. A course entered in error cannot be assessed against these conditions.

You require two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Mathematics and any other science subject. Direct Entry Candidates can apply with an NCE merit in Mathematics and one in Physics, Chemistry, or Economics.

All candidates interested in getting admitted into FULOKOJA for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
A Short Subject List for FULOKOJA Mathematics
The O’Level requirement is five SSCE credits in English Language, Mathematics, and Physics or Chemistry. Only three subjects are named, so the remaining credits are effectively the candidate’s own choice.
Physics and Chemistry are offered as alternatives to each other rather than both being required. That is unusual for a science faculty and widens the field considerably.
The UTME combination keeps English Language compulsory, fixes Mathematics, and asks for any two from Physics, Chemistry, and Economics or Geography.
Direct Entry accepts two ‘A’ Level or NCE passes in Mathematics and any other science subject. An NCE at merit in Mathematics with one in Physics, Chemistry or Economics is also recognised.
A JAMB score of 180 and above is the screening threshold for the 2026/2027 session at FULOKOJA. With the subject conditions this open, the score carries more of the weight.
