Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Agric Science/Botany/Zoology or Physics/Mathematics/ Economics.
The general Direct Entry line pairs Chemistry with a long list that runs from Botany and Zoology through to Economics.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
- OAU does not accept Economics and accepts HND/OND in Agriculture obtained at an upper credit level from a recognized Institution.
The waiver strikes Economics from that list and opens a diploma route, accepting an HND or OND in Agriculture at upper credit from a recognised institution.
Jamb Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into OAU for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 200 or above in your JAMB result.
The Physics Pass and the Economics Exclusion at OAU Crop Production
Chemistry and a biological subject are required at O Level and in JAMB, and Chemistry is compulsory again at Direct Entry. Those two carry the application.
Two details are easily missed. Physics is needed at ordinary pass level among the credits, and the waiver rules Economics out at Direct Entry. OAU asks for 200 or above in JAMB for the 2026/2027 session.
