O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Education and Language Arts; You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes, including English Language, plus four (4) subjects from Economics, Geography/Physics, Government, Home Economics, History, Arabic, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Music, and Literature in English.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
- OAU requires ‘O’ level credit passes in Literature in English, Yoruba, or French.
- OAU requires ‘A’ level passes to include Literature in English and Yoruba or French. Accepts Associateship Certificate of the University with merit or its equivalent and the UTME requirements.
Jamb Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Education and Language Arts under the Faculty of Education in the above Universities include;
Any three (3) of Yoruba, Literature in English, Christian Religious studies, History, Economics, and Islamic Studies.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Education and Language Arts if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
Two (2) relevant NCE/’A’ level passes.
Jamb Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into OAU for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 200 or above in your JAMB result.
