O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Electrical / Electronic Engineering; You require;
Five SSCE credit passes to include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language, and any other Science subject.
Jamb Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Electrical / Electronic Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology in the above Universities include;
Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Electrical / Electronic Engineering if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
Two ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
Jamb Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into OAU for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 200 or above in your JAMB result.
The Same Three Sciences at Every Stage of OAU Electrical Engineering
Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry carry this application from start to finish. At O level you need five SSCE credit passes covering those three plus English Language and one other Science subject.
The UTME combination names exactly the same three subjects alongside compulsory English, and Direct Entry asks for two A level passes drawn from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. OAU screening requires a JAMB score of 200 or above.
