RSU Department of Quantity Surveying Admission Requirement 2024/2025

This is to inform the general public and all Rivers State University (RSU) aspirants that the Department of Quantity Surveying Admission requirements has been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Quantity Surveying include Fi+ve (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry and any one subject from below:
  • Fine Art
  • Geography or Wood Work
  • Biology
  • Economics
  • Technical Drawing
  • Further. Mathematics
  • Introduction to Building Construction
  • Bricklaying/Block laying
  • Concreting, Wall, Floors, and Ceiling Finishing
  • Joinery
  • Carpentary
  • Decorative Painting
  • Lining, Sign, and Design
  • Wall Hanging
  • Color Mixing/Matching and Glazing
  • Ceramics
  • Graphics Design
  • Graphic Printing
  • Basic Electricity

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB

  • English Language
  • Physics
  • Mathematics, and any of Chemistry, Geography, Art, Biology, and Economics

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into RSU for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.

Conclusions

The Rivers State University of Technology was founded in 1979 and is the first of its kind in Nigeria. According to the 4icu.org international higher education rankings, the school is ranked sixth in Nigeria.

The university was established as a non-profit organization to push the frontiers of technology in Nigeria, and the university has been committed to this since its inception.

The school was formally known as Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), or UST for short, until it was renamed in 2017 by the administration of Governor Nyesom Wike.
