The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Veterinary Medicine names five Ordinary Level subjects and restricts the sixth place to another science subject. Mathematics is required there even though it is not one of the four JAMB papers.
The department asks for 220 in the school screening exercise against a general university JAMB figure of 200, so there is a twenty point margin to account for in preparation.

What UI Veterinary Medicine Asks Beyond the Sciences
The subject requirement holds no surprises for a science candidate, but the Mathematics credit is easy to overlook because it never appears in the JAMB combination.
Any sixth credit must also be a science subject, which rules out using an Arts or commercial result to make up the number across two sittings.
On marks, prepare for 220 rather than 200. The university figure only settles eligibility, and the department selects on its own higher screening score.
