Here’s the current status of the academic calendar for Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University (UMYU), Katsina State.
A previous version of this page carried a detailed day-by-day calendar for the 2022/2023 session, undergraduate and postgraduate alike. Those dates no longer apply, so we’ve removed them rather than relabel old data as current.
Where to Get the Confirmed Calendar
- UMYU publishes its official academic calendar at umyu.edu.ng/academics/academic-calendar.
- The general university calendar page is also available at umyu.edu.ng/calendar.
- Postgraduate students should also check with the Postgraduate School directly, since PG calendars sometimes run on a slightly different schedule from undergraduate.

What UMYU’s Calendar Typically Covers
Past UMYU calendars for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes have followed a similar shape: lectures and continuous assessment, add-and-drop registration windows, semester examinations, multi-stage result consideration (departmental board, faculty board, Senate Business Committee, then Senate), a semester break, and a new session resumption. Expect the 2026/2027 calendar to follow a similar pattern once UMYU publishes it, but confirm the actual dates from the sources above.
Check Back
We’ll update this page with confirmed 2026/2027 dates once UMYU publishes them and we can verify them directly.
