UNIABUJA Department of Anatomy Admission Requirement 2026/2027

The Department of Anatomy admission requirements at the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) are set out below. They cover the O’Level credits, the four JAMB UTME papers, the Direct Entry condition and the JAMB score that opens screening.

UNIABUJA

Anatomy leaves very little room for choice. The same three sciences, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, appear in the O’Level list, the JAMB combination and the Direct Entry requirement, so your science grades carry the whole application.

Confirm the course is still listed under UNIABUJA on the current JAMB brochure before registering. School and departmental cut-off marks are applied once screening begins, so the score below is a qualifying floor rather than a safe margin.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Anatomy include the following:

  • Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB

  • English Language
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Anatomy if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

  • Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in addition to the UTME requirements.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIABUJA  for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.

About the University of Abuja

The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA), a dual-mode institution with the authority to administer conventional and distance learning academic programs, was founded on January 1st, 1988.

At its inception, it was the first university in the country to take on such a dual mandate. The Vision of the University is to develop an institution of higher learning that combines academic excellence with the pursuit of the unity of Nigeria.

Three Sciences Decide a UNIABUJA Anatomy Application

All five O’Level credits are named outright. English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Nothing is optional, so a weak grade in any one of them has to be repaired at the next sitting before you apply.

The JAMB combination is four papers rather than three. English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. It mirrors the O’Level list with Mathematics set aside.

Direct Entry asks for two A level passes chosen from Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and importantly it asks for those in addition to the UTME requirements rather than instead of them. Candidates on that route still need the full O’Level set.

A JAMB score of 180 or above makes you eligible for screening. Check your five credits and your score against these figures now, while there is still time to act on a shortfall.
