This is to inform the general public and all prospective students of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) that the Department of Education & Integrated Science Admission requirements has been published.
The requirements cover the O Level credits, the four JAMB papers, three Direct Entry routes and the minimum score. Every list here stays inside the sciences.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Education & Integrated Science include the following:
- Five SSCE credit passes, including Biology, Chemistry, English Language, and Mathematics.
Four credits are named and the fifth carries no stated restriction. Biology and Chemistry are both compulsory here, which the JAMB combination does not require.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Any three of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Agric Science.
The JAMB form is more generous. English Language is compulsory and three papers come from a five subject pool, so Chemistry or Biology may be left out of the registration.
Agricultural Science appears there as well, which gives candidates from an agricultural background a valid combination.

Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Education and Integrated Science if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- NCE Integrated Science
- NCE Science Education
- ‘A’ Level passes in two (2) Science subjects
Direct Entry offers three routes, two of them through the NCE. An NCE in Integrated Science or in Science Education qualifies, as do A Level passes in any two science subjects.
None of the three names a specific subject beyond the science grouping, which makes this the most open stage of the application.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIABUJA for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.

Biology and Chemistry Are Credits, Not JAMB Papers, at UNIABUJA Integrated Science
The credit list names Biology, Chemistry, English Language and Mathematics, which is stricter than anything else in this post.
In JAMB three papers are chosen from five science subjects, and Direct Entry asks only for two sciences or a relevant NCE. Check the credits before the form, then make sure your score reaches 180 for the 2026/2027 session.
