O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Business Administration; You require;
Five (5) SSCE credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and Economics, plus any two (2) of Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography, and Statistics.
Jamb Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Business Administration under the Faculty of Administration at the University of Benin include;
Mathematics, Economics, and one (1) other subjects.
Direct Entry Requirement
You need to fulfill these conditions to gain Direct Entry admission to study Business Administration if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography, or Statistics.
Special Requirement (Waiver) Remarks:
- UNIBEN accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics, Commerce, NCE, or ND at upper credit level or ten (10) points in IJMB in relevant subjects in addition to the ‘O’ Level requirements.
Jamb Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIBEN for the 2026/2027 session should know that you must have scored 200 or above in your JAMB result to be eligible for the screening.
Where UNIBEN Business Administration Draws Its Extra Subjects
Three subjects are fixed at O’level for this course, namely English Language, Mathematics and Economics. The remaining two credits have to come from a named group of Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography and Statistics, so a random fifth subject will not do.
At UTME the same three subjects reappear, with only the fourth paper left open. The waiver then adds routes through NCE, an ND at upper credit, or ten points in IJMB, each sitting on top of the O’level requirements rather than replacing them.
