The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Education & History include the following:

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- History and any other two (2) subjects chosen from Christian Religious Studies/Islamic Studies, Literature in English, French, Yoruba, Geography/Physics, Economics, Government, and Hausa.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNIBEN requires History or Government, one (1) Art, and any other subject.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Education and History if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require two (2) NCE merit/’A’ Level passes in History and one (1) other relevant Arts subject.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNIBEN requires:
- Two (2) or three (3) NCE merit including History plus three (3) or two (2) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language and two (2) or one (1) other subjects from Literature in English, Religious studies, Fine Arts, French or Government.
- Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects plus five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes, including History/Government and English Language, with three (3) others from Literature in English, Religious Studies, French, and other Arts subjects.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIBEN for the 2026/2027 session should know that you must have scored 200 or above in your JAMB result to be eligible for the screening.
