This is to inform the general public and all aspirants of the University of Calabar that the admission requirements for the Department of Botany, Biotech & Plant Science have been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Botany, Biotech & Plant Science include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subject:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Biology
- Chemistry and any other Science Subject
Direct Entry Requirement For Botany, Biotech & Plant Science
Below is the Direct Entry Requirement for Botany, Biotech & Plant Science :
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Biology/Botany/Zoology and Chemistry or Physics.
JAMB Score
For any candidate to be admitted to any Department in the University of Lagos, the Candidate must score 150 and above in JAMB.
