This is to inform the general public and all aspirants of the University of Calabar that the admission requirements for the Department of Physical Education have been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
About The University of Calabar
The University of Calabar is a federal university in Cross River State, Nigeria’s south-south region. In 1975, the university was established.
The university has a very large student and staff population and a diverse student body. All applicants to the university are accepted, regardless of their cultural or religious background. Additionally, there is no restriction on applicants’ ages.

O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Physical Education include the following:
- Five SSCE credit/TC II merit passes to include English Language and Mathematics.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language and three other relevant subjects
Direct Entry Requirement For Physical Education
Below is the Direct Entry Requirement for Physical Education:
- Two ‘A’ level passes in any of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
- NCE (merit) in Physical Education and credit in Arithmetical Process or Mathematics.
JAMB Score
For any candidate to be admitted to any Department in the University of Calabar, the Candidate must score 150 and above in JAMB.
