This is to inform the general public and all aspirants of the University of Calabar that the admission requirements for the Department of Religious Studies have been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Religious Studies include the following:
- Five (5) SSCE credit passes to include English Language and CRS/IS.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- CRS/IS and any other two (2) subjects
Direct Entry Requirement For Law
Below is the Direct Entry Requirement for Law:
- Two (2) ‘A’ level subjects to include Religious Studies (CRS/IS).
JAMB Score
For any candidate to be admitted to any Department in the University of Calabar, the Candidate must score 150 and above in JAMB.

The University of Calabar is a federal university in Cross River State, Nigeria’s south-south region. In 1975, the university was established.
The university has a very large student and staff population and a diverse student body. All applicants to the university are accepted, regardless of their cultural or religious background. Additionally, there is no restriction on applicants’ ages.
