Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Wood Production Engineering include Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- English Language and any other Science subject.
Four credits are named and the fifth must be another science subject. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English Language fill the first four places with no substitution offered.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
The JAMB papers repeat four of those credits exactly, so the registration involves no decision. A candidate who sat Biology rather than Chemistry has no valid combination here.
That makes the O Level result the real gate, since the JAMB form adds nothing new to check.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Wood Production Engineering if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and Physics
Direct Entry drops Chemistry entirely and names Mathematics and Physics as the two required passes. It is the only stage where Chemistry is not demanded.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNICROSS for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 140 or above in your JAMB result.
Three Sciences and One Free Credit at UNICROSS Wood Production
Mathematics and Physics are required at every stage of this application, and Chemistry joins them for the O Level credits and the JAMB papers.
The only genuine choice is the fifth credit, which may be any science subject. Decide that early, register the four fixed JAMB papers, and make sure your score reaches 140 for the 2026/2027 session.
