This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Jos, (UNIJOS) that the Department of Geography & Planning admission requirements has been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Geography & Planning include the following:
Five SSCE credit passes to include English, Mathematics, and Geography.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNIJOS accepts the following:
- IJMB passes, including Geography. Also accepts ND/HND credit in Urban and Regional Planning or Land Surveying.
- It also requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, and Geography in addition to any other two (2) Social Science or Science subjects.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language.
- Geography and any two Arts subjects.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Geography & Planning if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two ‘A’ level passes, including Geography.
