Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Insurance include the following:
Five (5) SSCE credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and Economics plus any two (2) of Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography, and Statistics.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Economics and another subject
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Insurance if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography, or Statistics.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNIJOS accepts:
- Holders of HSC, GCE ‘A’ level, and IJMB with passes in two relevant Social Science subjects.
- Candidates with lower credit in ND in Business Administration, Accounting, Purchasing and Supply, Marketing, and other closely related programs may also be considered, provided such candidates satisfy the ‘O’ level credit passes requirements.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIJOS for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum score of 180 or above in your JAMB result.
