Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Sociology include the following:
Five (5) SSCE credit passes in Government or History, English Language, and three (3) other subjects.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Three (3) Social Science or Arts subjects
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Sociology if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes, including Government or History.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNIJOS accepts two (2) ‘A’ level passes in any of the Social Sciences subjects for IJMB (candidates must have met ‘O’ level entry requirements).
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIJOS for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum score of 180 or above in your JAMB result.
