Biology at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) is written in broader terms than most science courses here. The requirements name English Language and Mathematics and then refer to relevant subjects rather than listing them.
The one place where real detail appears is the Direct Entry section, which sets out seven named subjects. Candidates on the UTME route have to interpret the word relevant for themselves.

JAMB Score
For any candidate to be admitted to any Department in the University of Lagos, the Candidate must score 200 and above in JAMB.
Relevant Is Doing a Lot of Work in the UNILAG Biology Requirements
The O’Level requirement is five or six SSC credit passes taken at one or two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics and other relevant subjects. Only two papers are actually named.
The allowance for six credits across two sittings is worth noting. It gives candidates who resat a paper a clear statement that their combined results will be considered.
The UTME combination is similarly open. English Language is compulsory and the other three subjects must be relevant sciences, which in practice points to Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
Direct Entry is the only precise section. Two ‘A’ level passes are accepted from Geography, Chemistry, Geology, Physics, Mathematics, Zoology, and Botany or Biology.
The JAMB score condition is 200 and above for admission to any department at the University of Lagos. Where subject wording is this loose, that score is the firmest requirement on the page.
