The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is a federal government research university in Lagos State, Nigeria.
The school has maintained one of the most competitive in the country regarding admissions. UNILAG has one of the largest student population sizes of any university in the country.
In this article, we will list the requirements candidates must meet to study Education and French at the University of Lagos, ranging from O’level subject combination, JAMB Score and Post UTME Score, and departmental cut-Off mark.
To study Education and French, candidates must meet the following requirements.
Three routes follow, covering the O’level credits, the four JAMB papers and the Direct Entry option, with the university score requirement set out at the end of the page.

- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes/NCE merit in French and one(1) other Arts subject.

For any candidate to be admitted to any Department in the University of Lagos, the Candidate must score 200 and above in JAMB.
Only Two Named Subjects at UNILAG Education and French
The O’level requirement is among the shortest on the UNILAG pages. Five SSC credit passes are needed and only two are specified, namely English Language and French.
That leaves three credits entirely open, so candidates from science or commercial streams are not excluded at that stage.
At UTME the picture tightens. Beyond English Language and French, the remaining two papers must be Arts subjects.
Direct Entry follows the same logic on a smaller scale, asking for two A’level passes or an NCE merit in French and one other Arts subject.
French is therefore the one subject required on every route, with no alternative anywhere. The score to clear is 200 and above in JAMB for admission to any department at the University of Lagos.
