Geology is offered at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). This page sets out the O’Level credits for UTME candidates, the JAMB subject combination, the Direct Entry route and the JAMB score.
UNILAG is a federal government research university in Lagos State, in south western Nigeria. It remains among the most competitive institutions in the country for admissions, and holds one of the largest student populations of any Nigerian university.
The O’Level list and the JAMB list do not name the same subjects, which is the detail to take from this page. Biology and Chemistry are compulsory credits, while the UTME combination fixes only English Language.
Geography is the clearest example. It counts towards the JAMB combination and towards Direct Entry, but it will not satisfy the O’Level requirement on its own.
O’Level Subject Combination
Below is the O’level Requirement for GEOLOGY (UTME CANDIDATES)
Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and any other subject.
JAMB Subject Combination
English Language(*), and any three (3) of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, and Geography.

Matching Your O Level Credits to the UNILAG Geology UTME List
The O’Level requirement is five SSC credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other subject, so four of the five are specified.
The JAMB combination makes English Language compulsory and then takes any three of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Geography.
Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology appear in both lists, so choosing those three as your UTME papers keeps the whole application consistent and adds nothing new to prepare.
Direct Entry takes two A level passes from Geology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Geography. Geology itself appears only on that list, not in the O’Level or UTME sections.
The JAMB score for any UNILAG department is 200 and above. Confirm your Biology and Chemistry credits first, since both are compulsory here and neither is offered an alternative.
