History and Strategic Studies Share One Entry Standard at UNILAG
The O’Level requirement is five SSC credit passes that must include History and English Language. Only those two papers are named, leaving the remaining three credits open to the candidate.
The UTME combination adds a little structure. English Language is compulsory, History is fixed, and the other two subjects must come from the Arts or Social Sciences rather than being unrestricted.
Direct Entry asks for two ‘A’ level passes in History and other related subjects. Related is not defined here, so candidates on that route should confirm acceptability with the department.
Each of the three sections carries the same note: the requirement is identical for History and Strategic Studies. A candidate preparing for one is therefore already prepared for the other.
