UNILAG Political Science Admission Requirements
O’Level Subjects
Five ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Government, Economics/Geography, and any one of History, Literature-in, English and CRS/IRS.
UTME Subjects
English Language, Government, and any two subjects from Economics, Geography, History, Literature in English, CRS/IRS, and Mathematics.

Government on Every List at UNILAG Political Science
Government is the one subject named on all three routes. It belongs among the five O’level credits, among the four UTME papers, and among the three JUPEB or A’level subjects at Direct Entry.
Mathematics is the subject that moves. It is a required O’level credit, appears at UTME only as one option among several, and is absent from the Direct Entry list entirely.
The O’level line also pairs Economics with Geography, treating them as interchangeable, then asks for one of History, Literature in English or religious studies.
At UTME those same subjects form a single pool, with any two accepted beside English Language and Government, which gives candidates more freedom at the registration stage.
Direct Entry narrows the pool again, dropping Geography and Mathematics and keeping Literature in English, Economics, religious studies and History.
