Zoology is offered at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). This page sets out the O’Level credits for UTME candidates, the JAMB subject combination, the Direct Entry route and the JAMB score.

UNILAG is a federal government research university in Lagos State, in south western Nigeria. It remains among the most competitive institutions in the country for admissions, and holds one of the largest student populations of any Nigerian university.
Biology is the one subject required at every stage. It is a named O’Level credit, a named JAMB paper, and it heads the Direct Entry list beside Zoology and Botany.
The two optional O’Level sciences and the two chosen UTME papers draw on the same small group of subjects, so one set of choices covers both.

The O’Level requirement is five SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and two other science subjects.
The JAMB combination asks for English Language, Biology, and any two of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Mathematics is already compulsory at O’Level, so taking Physics and Chemistry as your two optional credits leaves all three UTME options open to you.
Direct Entry accepts two A level passes or an NCE in Biology, Zoology or Botany together with one other Science subject.
The JAMB score for any UNILAG department is 200 and above. Secure the Biology credit before anything else, because no route into this department works without it.
