This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) that the Department of Food Science admission requirements has been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Food Science & Technology include Five SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language, and any other Science subject.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics or Biology
- Chemistry
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNIMAID requires Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture, and any one of Physics and Mathematics.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Food Science and Technology if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- ‘A’ Level passes in two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- ND/HND upper credit in relevant programs.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNIMAID accepts ‘O’ Level credit pass in Biology.
