This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) that the Department of Forestry & Wildlife admission requirements has been published.

The sections below cover the O’Level subject combination, the four subjects sat in JAMB UTME, the A Level route into Direct Entry, and the JAMB score needed to be eligible for screening into Forestry and Wildlife.
This is a biological science course and the subject lists follow from that. English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology are fixed among the five O’Level credits, with a fifth drawn from Physics, Economics, Further Mathematics or Statistics.
The UTME combination allows two substitutions the O’Level list does not. Agricultural Science may stand in for Biology, and Mathematics may stand in for Physics, which suits candidates from an agricultural science background.

Subject Choices That Work for UNIMAID Forestry and Wildlife
Start with the fifth O’Level credit, since that is where the choice sits. Physics, Economics, Further Mathematics and Statistics are all accepted, so most candidates will already hold at least one of them alongside the four fixed subjects.
In UTME, English Language and Chemistry are compulsory. The third subject is Biology or Agricultural Science, and the fourth is Physics or Mathematics, which gives four workable combinations depending on what you studied at school.
Direct Entry asks for two A Level passes drawn from Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Zoology and Botany. A JAMB score of at least 160 covers eligibility for UTME candidates, with the departmental cut-off for the session checked separately.
