UNIMAID Department of Islamic Studies Admission Requirement 2024/2025

This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) that the Department of Islamic Studies admission requirements has been published.

UNIMAID Orientation

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Islamic Studies include Five SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:

English Language and Islamic Studies or Arabic and any three (3) relevant subjects.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.

  • English Language
  • Islamic Studies plus two (2) other Arts subjects

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Islamic Studies if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

Two (2) ‘A’ level passes to include Islamic Studies.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIMAID for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum of 160 or above score in your JAMB result.
