The University of Nigeria, usually shortened to UNN, is a federal university in Nsukka, Enugu State, in the eastern part of the country. It was founded by Nnamdi Azikiwe in 1955.

Preparing a UNN Accountancy Application

The O’Level requirement is five credit passes. English Language, Mathematics and Economics are named, and the remaining two are described only as other relevant subjects, which leaves room to build around your stronger results.

The JAMB combination is four papers. Use of English and Mathematics are compulsory, Economics is required, and the fourth may be any other Social Science subject.

Economics appears in both lists, which makes it the subject this application turns on. A candidate without an Economics credit should sit it at the next O’Level opportunity rather than relying on a related commercial subject.

On scores, the position is simple. Reach 200 in JAMB to be considered by UNN at all, then score 200 or above in the school UTME screening exercise to satisfy the Accountancy department.

Because both figures are identical, there is no safety margin built into this course. Plan your preparation around clearing 200 comfortably rather than landing on it.
