O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Industrial Technical Education include five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include Physics or Mathematics.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include Physics or Mathematics at GCE/SSC, NTC, City and Guilds intermediate level, in addition to the UTME entry requirements.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Mathematics, Physics, and one (1) other Science subject
Direct Entry Requirement
Candidates who don’t intend to use UTME can fulfill these conditions to gain Direct Entry admission to study Industrial Technical Education. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Physics and Mathematics.
- ND lower credit in Civil Engineering, Production/Electrical Engineering.
- Final City and Guilds or its equivalent plus National Technical Certificate.
- NCE credit in Technical Education plus ‘O’ Level credit passes in Physics or Mathematics.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNN for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum score of 160 or above in your JAMB result.
Four Routes Into UNN Industrial Technical Education
Beyond the standard UTME path, UNN also accepts ND lower credit in Civil or Production/Electrical Engineering, City and Guilds plus National Technical Certificate holders, and NCE credit holders, so working candidates have several ways in.
