This is to inform the general public and all Adeyemi College Of Education, Ondo (ACEONDO) aspirants that the admission requirements for the Department of Chemistry/Mathematics have been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Mathematics carries real weight in this department. It is one of the five named Ordinary Level credits and one of the four JAMB papers, alongside Chemistry on both lists.
The flexible part sits at the end of each list. Two further science credits are needed at Ordinary Level, and the fourth JAMB paper is a choice between Biology and Physics.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Chemistry/Mathematics include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Chemistry and any other two Science subjects
Three subjects are therefore fixed and the remaining two must be sciences. Physics, Biology and Agricultural Science are the usual choices for those places.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Biology/Physics
Biology and Physics are treated as alternatives in JAMB, so a candidate offers one of the two rather than both.

All candidates interested in getting admitted to the Adeyemi College Of Education for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 120 or above in your JAMB result.
This is the eligibility figure for the screening exercise rather than a final admission mark. Falling below it closes the process at that point.

Two further science credits complete the Ordinary Level requirement, which keeps the course closed to candidates from an Arts background.
