This is to inform the general public and all Adeyemi College of Education (ACEONDO) aspirants that the Department of Christian Religious Studies/History admission requirements have been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Christian Religious Studies runs through both lists, but the two lists treat History differently. It is named in JAMB and left to the Arts option at Ordinary Level.
Arts subjects fill the remaining places in each case. Two of them complete the Ordinary Level credits and one completes the JAMB registration.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Christian Religious Studies/History include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- CRS and any two Arts subjects
Three subjects are named and the last two must be Arts subjects. History would naturally be one of them for a candidate applying to this department.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- History
- Christian Religious Studies and any other Arts subject
The final entry covers two papers, so the four are English Language, History, Christian Religious Studies and one more Arts subject.
History is compulsory in JAMB even though the Ordinary Level list does not name it. That is the main difference between the two conditions.

JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted to the Adeyemi College Of Education for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 120 or above in your JAMB result.
The score decides eligibility for the screening exercise. Candidates who reach it move forward to that stage rather than straight into the department.

An Arts Profile for ACEONDO CRS and History
This department is built for candidates from an Arts background. Two Arts credits beyond the named subjects, and one Arts paper beyond the named JAMB papers.
Christian Religious Studies is required in both places, so confirm that credit before anything else, then check your History result for the JAMB side.
Finally, measure your JAMB score against the 120 threshold that governs entry to the college screening exercise.
