This is to inform the general public and all Adeyemi College of Education (ACEONDO) aspirants that the Department of Christian Religious Studies/Social Studies admission requirements have been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
This department works through option lists rather than a single fixed set. Two subjects are named on each list and the rest are chosen from grouped alternatives.
Several of those groups pair two subjects together, such as Government and History or Economics and Commerce, so a candidate needs only one of each pair.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Christian Religious Studies/Social Studies include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- C.R.S, and any two subjects from below:
- Economics/Commerce
- Government/History
- Government/Social Studies
English Language, Mathematics and C.R.S are the three fixed credits. The remaining two come from the paired groups listed beneath them.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
- English Language
- Christian Religious Studies and any three subjects from below:
- History/Government
- Geography
- Social Studies
- Economics/Commerce
English Language and Christian Religious Studies are fixed here as well, with the rest drawn from History or Government, Geography, Social Studies and Economics or Commerce.
Social Studies and Geography appear in the JAMB option list but not in the Ordinary Level one, so the two sets are not identical.

Working Through the ACEONDO CRS and Social Studies Option Lists
Start with the three fixed Ordinary Level credits, then map your remaining results onto the paired groups to see whether two of them are covered.
Christian Religious Studies is the one subject required at both stages, so a candidate without it cannot satisfy either condition.
The JAMB section asks for English Language and Christian Religious Studies plus any three further subjects, which totals five papers where JAMB registration takes four. Confirm the correct combination with the current JAMB brochure or with the department before registering.
