Yoruba and Christian Religious Studies are both named at Ordinary Level and again in JAMB. Neither can be replaced by another subject on either list.

The remaining places are handled differently. The Ordinary Level list leaves them open to any subject, while JAMB restricts the last paper to an Arts subject.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Christian Religious Studies/Yoruba include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • C.R.S
  • Yoruba and any other subjects

That gives four named credits plus one of the candidate’s own choosing, which makes this one of the more approachable requirements at the college.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB

  • English Language
  • Yoruba
  • Christian Religious Studies and any other Arts subject

Reading the last entry as two papers gives English Language, Yoruba, Christian Religious Studies and one further Arts subject.

Candidates in the south west will usually hold Yoruba already, which makes this combination easier to assemble than the Hausa or Igbo equivalents at the same college.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted to the  Adeyemi College Of Education for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 120 or above in your JAMB result.

The threshold governs eligibility for the screening exercise. A candidate who meets it still has the screening stage to pass.

Yoruba as the Second Half of This ACEONDO Degree

Confirm credits in Yoruba and Christian Religious Studies first, since those two subjects define the department and appear on both lists.

English Language and Mathematics complete the named Ordinary Level credits, with one further credit in any subject making up the five.

For JAMB, add one Arts subject to the three named papers and check that your score reaches the 120 screening threshold.
