This is to inform the general public and all Adeyemi College Of Education, Ondo (ACEONDO) aspirants that the admission requirements for the Department of Hausa/Social Studies have been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Hausa is the fixed subject on both lists, and in each case it is supported by two further choices drawn from the social sciences and humanities.
Several of the Ordinary Level options are paired, so History and Government count as one entry and the two religious studies subjects count as another.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Hausa/Social Studies include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Hausa and any two subjects from below:
- Geography
- History/Government
- IRS/CRS
- Economics
English Language, Mathematics and Hausa are compulsory, with the remaining two credits taken from Geography, History or Government, Islamic or Christian Religious Studies, and Economics.
Those pairings widen the department considerably, since a candidate needs only one subject from each paired entry rather than both.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Hausa and any other two Arts/Social Science subjects
The JAMB condition is looser still. After English Language and Hausa, the other two papers may be any Arts or Social Science subjects rather than a named set.

JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted to the Adeyemi College Of Education for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 120 or above in your JAMB result.
That score opens the screening exercise. Reaching it is necessary but does not by itself secure a place in the department.

Hausa Decides This ACEONDO Social Studies Application
Everything here turns on the Hausa credit, which is required at both stages with no substitute. The supporting subjects are comparatively easy to satisfy.
At Ordinary Level the four paired option entries cover most humanities and social science results a candidate is likely to hold.
In JAMB the choice widens further to any Arts or Social Science papers, and the score itself has to reach 120 for the college screening exercise.
