This is to inform the general public and all Adeyemi College Of Education, Ondo (ACEONDO) aspirants that the admission requirements for the Department of Islamic/Yoruba Studies have been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Islamic Studies and Yoruba are listed separately on both subject lists, so a candidate needs credits in each rather than a choice between them.
Of the religious studies pairings the college offers, this one is the most reachable locally, since Yoruba is widely taught across Ondo State.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Islamic Studies / Yoruba include the following: Five SSCE credit passes:
- English Language
- Mathematics

JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted to the Adeyemi College Of Education for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 120 or above in your JAMB result.

About Adeyemi College of Education
Adeyemi College of Education, also known as Aceondo, is a Federal College in Ondo State, Nigeria’s southwest. The federal government of Nigeria manages the college.
The college, which is affiliated with the prestigious OAU in Ile-Ife, was founded in 1964 and named after a Nigerian educator.
The college aspires to be the reference point for teacher education in Nigeria, training students in academic and moral standards of international renown.
Islamic Studies With Yoruba at ACEONDO
Both named subjects are required twice over, so confirm credits in Islamic Studies and Yoruba before looking at anything else on the list.
Unlike the Islamic and Christian Religious Studies department at this college, the two subjects here are written separately rather than with a slash, so there is no ambiguity about needing both.
English Language and Mathematics complete the named credits, one Arts place stays open on each list, and the JAMB score needs to reach 120 for the screening exercise.
